Co-creation with J.League Tochigi SC | Drawing “Keep Moving Forward” through finger-ink art

I met with Tochigi SC, a professional soccer team in the J.League.

While future plans are still a secret, I hope to spread the concept of soccer and traditional Japanese culture to a wide range of generations and create things and experiences that will delight everyone.

This time, I used finger ink (brushless sumi-e) to depict Toki and Tochigi SC’s philosophy, “Keep Moving Forward.”
Toki depicts the three monkeys (see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil) in a cute yet cool, dynamic style, while the philosophy represents the movement of soccer.
The “p” from “Keep” and the “F” from “Forward” are connected, creating the image of a person kicking the ball (the “o”). Toki uses reed paper, a type of Japanese paper native to Tochigi Prefecture.

“To create joy in life with Tochigi Soccer Club together with the local community and enrich society” – Tochigi SC’s vision and five values: Enjoy, Growth, Unity, Sincere, and Challenge.

These are important for the growth of society and for connecting with the next generation.

Sports and art, soccer and sumi-e, may seem like different fields at first glance, but when you unravel the gap, they actually have many similarities.

We look forward to supporting Tochigi SC and working with you in the future.
