Born in 1977. A sumi-e artist from Tochigi prefecture. He’s been getting a lot of attention in recent years. A hand-drawing sumi-e artist who does not use a brush and represents Japan. Unconstrained by traditional techniques and rules, he develops works that pursue “dynamism,” “strength,” and “power” with a unique touch that combines freedom, boldness, and delicacy.
Based on the concept of coexistence and co-prosperity with nature, his works depict dragons, horses, and phoenixes on a magnificent scale full of dynamism. His unique and original method of drawing without using a brush is unique in Japan, and attracts many people with its innovative motifs. In October 2020, in a cable TV special program, he demonstrated his unique method of sumi-e performance, showing a dynamic feeling that cannot be expressed with a brush.
At Gallery Artisans Kita-Kamakura, which I applied for in September 2020, the two works I developed were rated 1st and 2nd, with a big difference from 3rd. Collaborative works with well-known contemporary artists, calligraphers, and sumi-e artists. The world’s first tea and ink painting tie-up product, traditional culture lanterns and ink painting tie-up products. He was selected by the international artist group FTP (Freedom Tapestry Project), which spreads the concept of free art to the world, and has also sent his works overseas.
He has been highly evaluated both domestically and internationally, and in June 2022, he achieved a permanent exhibition of his work at the Sant Pau Hospital, a Spanish World Heritage Site, the first in the world to be an ink painter in the world. At the same time, works will be exhibited at the United Nations UNESCO headquarters in Paris, Miro Hall. Books and catalogs featuring his works have been distributed to all major mass retailers. It will also be distributed to e-books worldwide. His sumi-e art work “Shuzaku Ranbu” has been published in academic text book “Trace of Japanese Art” and published with Vincent Van Gogh art work. And it has been stored in most of the famouse embassy, museum , art university, NHK and hotel New Ohtani Royal sweet room and 47 prefectures’ libraries. Many media appearances. Regarding commercialization through tie-ups, the minimum line is about 10% to 30% of the total selling price. (*)However, since it will be decided after consultation with both parties, it is subject to change. Payment will be made based on the contract when the work is sold. Thank you for your understanding.
