Astemo Utsunomiya Blitzen: Finger-inked artwork

Utsunomiya is synonymous with road racing.
When it comes to road racing, Astemo Utsunomiya Blitzen is synonymous with it.
I recently met with Astemo Utsunomiya Blitzen, a Cycle Sports Management company.

With riders Sergio Tu and Feng Chun-kai selected to represent Taiwan in the 2026 Asian Road Race Championships, and rider Toki Sawada receiving the Tochigi Prefecture Image Enhancement Contribution Award, Blitzen riders have been doing incredibly well.

The two sumi-e paintings I created during our meeting were inspired by Blitzen’s road races, and I was so impressed by his previous performance in the Japan Cup that I felt I absolutely had to paint them.

A sense of speed! Dynamism! Movement! Passion!
I can really feel the passion of these passionate road racing athletes.
