Symbol of Asian Art Appointed Thai-Japan Ambassador for the Arts at the ASEAN-Japan Center Awards Ceremony at Sierra Pakorn University
Thailand-Japan Cultural Exchange Art Exhibition held on April 13th
Honorary Award and Exhibition for Artistic Activities
Exhibited my work “Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji – Contemporary”
The exhibition was held at the Japan-ASEAN Center
The award ceremony was held at the Royal Park Hotel
I had the honor of posing for a photo with former Thai Ambassador to Geneva, Advisor Akao, and Silpakorn University President Thanasart.
The exhibition, award ceremony, and reception were also attended by many distinguished artists, each with a distinguished track record.
I am truly pleased to be able to participate in such a prestigious event, marking the 80th anniversary of Silpakorn University and the 25th anniversary of the Thai-Japan Art Exchange.
The work I exhibited this time, “Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji – Contemporary,” is one that I put a lot of thought into and has received high praise.
I intentionally left Mount Fuji out of the picture, instead depicting the rough waves of the ocean due to environmental degradation.
The sea monster Leviathan appears from the sea and threatens anyone on a boat. That’s the scene. The sea has turned yellow and murky, and you can no longer see the magnificent Mount Fuji that it once was; the sea is no longer as beautiful as it once was. This is also a satirical message to the late Katsushika Hokusai.
It also has the meaning of “I want to make the future better for the next generation of children.”
I am very grateful for this wonderful opportunity.
